In the light of the deficiency of distillery produce in the late 1990-ies the governing body of the agrocomplex “Petrovskaya” and the city administration of Nizhnekamsk decided to build a distillery. The construction of the plant began in early 1994. By the end of 1994 the main buildings of the plant had been built. And in August 1995 the first produce –vodka “Russkaya” was put out. Daily output was 200-300 decalitres at that time and at the same time balancing and commissioning were carried out. Together with vodka the plant began to put out distillery produce. The first products of the liqueur department were liqueurs “Oblepikhovaya”, “Vishenka”, “Petrovskaya”. During the years that followed the experts of the plant worked hard on the development of production technical level and improvement of produce quality. In the past years the range of produce has increased several times. Nowadays Nizhnekamsky Distillery produces 10 kinds of vodka and up to 15 kinds of distillery produce. After the plant had become a part of GUP RT “PO Tatspirtprom” the second filling line was equipped, the outmoded labeling machines were replaced by modern, Italian ones, an American automatic line for water purification was installed, the liqueur department was equipped with new devices that make it possible to increase the range of produce. Nowadays Nizhnekamsky Distillery is the enterprise of high production level, the products of which have been repeatedly awarded gold and silver medals of such prestigious exhibitions as “Prodexpo”, “Regions of Russia”, “Russian Vodka” in Moscow, “Drinks and Ware” in Kazan, “exhibition of Wine and Vodka” in St. Petersburg, International trade exhibition “Wine-Vodka-Tobacco” in Sochi.
