The distillery that is now called Pervomaysky spirit plant was built in 1907 by the merchant Levashov. Till 1994 it was oriented to the production of crude alcohol with the productive capacity of up to 1000 decalitres per day.
As a result of unreasoned policy during anti-alcoholic campaign the plant was stopped and transformed for production of low-quality unpopular produce. It led to the destruction of production building and dismantling and loss of the equipment.
During the period of demonopolization that followed the plant became a part of the agrocomplex “Petrovsky” and it had positive effect on the plant production and functioning. Since 1994 after the introduction of rectification unit the plant has been producing alcohol of “Extra” and “Higher purification” grades.
During the period of monopolization Pervomaysky Distillery as a branch enterprise of GUP”PO Tatspirtprom” headed for renovation of equipment and technologies. And nowadays it is realizing it successfully.
Together with the research assistants of Kazan State Technological University the enterprise has mastered the technology of heads concentration in rotary rectification unit.
The department of raw material preparation has been changed fundamentally:

New mill equipment with the improved quality of grinding has been put in operation;

The system of aspiration is functioning at the mill section;

The complex of intraproductive weighing is being put in operation.
Taking into consideration the growing requirements towards its produce the plant supplies its laboratory with the modern methods and equipment for monitoring of technological characteristics and quality of finished product.
